About the Scania R Series
The R Series has run in two distinct generations. The original launched in March 2004 and ran until the new generation replaced it in 2016. Both are common in the UK and both carry the R name, so the chassis number matters more here than on any other model. It is Scania's most-produced heavy cab and the only truck to have taken International Truck of the Year twice.

What to check before you order
- The 2004 to 2016 truck and the 2016-onwards truck are different vehicles wearing the same badge. Body panels, lighting and interior parts almost never cross between them.
- Cab height changes what fits. A Topline roof panel, bunk and interior trim will not suit a Normal or Highline cab.
- Driveline parts have a much wider crossover than body parts, including onto G and S Series of the same era.
